Since 1993, Les Gorges d'Héric and a large part of the Caroux massif have been a classified site.
Stroll along the stream, discovering the many waterfalls and chasms. Thanks to an interpretation trail, discover the richness and diversity of the fauna and flora.
The walk to Héric is on foot, count 5 kilometers and 315 m of elevation gain. It takes about 1h30 walking normally, 2h including the breaks necessary for observations. The return is by the same route (about 3 hours round trip).
Ideal walk for families, accessible with pushchairs.
This is one of the best spots in the Hérault to enjoy your picnic sitting on the rocks with the sound of water.
Reach the charming hamlet of Héric, typical of the local architecture, with its small stone houses with slate roofs and chestnut frames, its narrow cobbled streets and its terraced grounds.
From Mons-la-Trivalle, follow the signs Heric Gorge. The site is free and accessible all year round.
Parking is available: paying on Easter weekend and from April 15 to September 15 ( No credit card). Parking managed manually at the entrance.
