In Mourèze , the stars are not the castles or the churches (though…). It is the rocks of the circus that make this place incredible. A chaos of dolomitic white rocks eroded into strange shapes that invite you to adventure and contemplation.

Here, we come a bit to get lost, to let our steps and our imagination wander in this unique and unusual natural labyrinth. The 300 hectares of this wonderful ruiniform circus are a delight for walkers. Impossible to really get lost, thanks to the well marked trails ! Lac du Salagou, in the heart of Hérault and Languedoc, here is a lake like no other . What makes it exceptional is first of all the contrast between the water and this arid landscape .

But it is also a geological richness and a biodiversity almost unique in the world . When you discover this lake for the first time, the magic of the colors works instantly. These hills of red earth (the "ruffes", clayey sediments loaded with iron oxide), this water where the blue of the sky is reflected, the sometimes yellow or black rocks... The yellow of the genets in spring... All its palette color competes in intensity and ultimately leaves you speechless. Here time stops to let you contemplate the exceptional composition of natural colors.
