Around wine


This project was born around vines and wine. From a few plots acquired in 1999, the Domaine des Prés Lasses today represents a respectable whole which, thanks to successive opportunities, has led to the idea of reviving this castle in the heart of the village of Autignac in the prestigious Faugères appellation.



OUR PHILOSOPHY

Organic cultivation meets the most favorable conditions here in an alliance of wind and sun. The vitality of the soils and the balance of the vineyard are priorities, so as to promote their durability and the character of the wines. The vineyard of Faugères extends over the tormented relief of the last foothills of the Cévennes to the north of Béziers. It is a beautiful appellation on a schist terroir, the soils are very filtering and not very fertile, the vine plunges its roots deeply to find the soul of this exceptional terroir.


The limited production favors the quality of the grapes harvested manually and then vinified with great care to obtain gastronomic wines , capable of aging, transparent vis-à-vis the expression of the terroir and the vintages, expressing themselves with finesse and complexity. . Boris Feigel is part of the young rising generation of passionate winegrowers , he lovingly watches over the barrels stored under the castle and in which Castel Viel and Boria ripen, while in the cellar the aging of young wines continues.
